Alternative Christmas Decor....

Image from the wonderful, and inspiring IvyStyle's flickr site.

It's my sixth 'hot' aussie Christmas and our second with Finn, this year there isn't enough room for the traditional 'real' Christmas tree so I'm going to try to come up with another alternative tree idea in the meantime I'm currently putting the stash of felt I purchased months ago to use by making some crafty christmas tree decorations which will hopefully dangle from my tree. I'll post some pictures when I've dyed and stitched my little creations.

Here are some alternative festive decorating ideas ....

Finding Your Nest....

Gardenia Flower (picked from the garden)

Now that I've managed to find my camera charger I thought I would share some pictures of the inside of the house with you, it's still a work in progress but we're getting there slowly and enjoying the journey. It's amasing what a lick of white paint can do - it's totally transformed not only the look but the feel of the house. We've still got our bedroom to sort - it's acting as the temporary box room, full of unpacked boxes and still displaying chocolate brown feature walls which are screaming out to be painted....

A Warm Welcome to you all from

After a month long hiatus - due to moving, painting, weeding and a long, long wait for our internet to be connected Mollie and Finn are pleased to be back... and very pleased to be slowly nesting in to their new home - No. 72!

I look forward to popping back with more posts and sharing pictures of our new abode with you all in the very near future and as soon as I find my camera charger!
